*sigh* .... Another misleading headline.

Once again, I'm shocked! Shocked, that an OCS topic headline would be misleading.

Newspaper headline.

I know.

Not sure when u went to UCF last but when we went to the game this past year(Black Friday) parking was a NON ISSUE. They built a parking garage across street from the BB arena, right off their Memory mall area.  About 2-3 block walk to the Football stadium.   Was easy access in and out.(they also ran shuttle service for those who didn't want to walk the 3 blocks)

Um, yeah.  I guess you aren't aware that the one single parking garage isn't close to having enough spaces to handle parking for the entire stadium.  Not even close.  That garage hasn't come close to making parking a NON ISSUE.

Some of our so called fan base are weak and lazy...

Some of the fan base is not twenty years old and in perfect health.

That doesn't change my point in any way.

Not really misleading

"USF Officials ready to act for an OCS"

One of the actions required for an OCS is a feasibility study... it's the first step in the process:

"Harlan said this week he and USF president Judy Genshaft will soon begin a fact-finding mission, probably during the school’s current fiscal year, to determine the feasibility of constructing an on-campus football stadium."

..So yes, they are ready to act.

It's the first/initial step, but its a step regardless (and one of the most important.)

As well any and all fan bases...and many of those watch games at home (not many have been trying to RJS...so no loss there).

Bottom line is its hard to buld a future fan base when less than 10% of your student body shows up to your home game (like last weekend), because every study shows, if they aren't hooked on school athletics while a student...they won't become hooked as alumni (even if the team wins).

Its all about the student-environment...that's how you build a future fan base...and without them...you are way behind the 8 ball...so yes, stadiums should actually be built for students...as those hooked will fill it as paying alumni.

You and I will disagree about the amount of misleading going on here.

You sir, are not being very realistic.  Up until this past year USF has trounced UCF in attendance, look it up.  It took one miracle year that isn't going to repeat simultaneous with an awful year on the USF side to finally take the mantle.  The South Carolina game just barely sold out at the Tin Can last year during the best year in your history, and your stadium is relatively small.  Over a longer period of time USF has clearly shown far more capacity for attendance than UCF.  So enjoy your very temporary gains, historically it has been proven that this will not normally be the case.

Trip, you don't think we have the technology to build a 65 year old stadium?
