Why does everyone keep repeating the same mantra over and over again??

Can an OCS be great for a school? Yeah... Obviously, most FBS teams have one.

However, Can we do one right now? NOPE!

Not going to happen. Not now, Not this season, nor the next.

Just will put my two  cents in on this thread and state that an OCS is needed for USF. Too much money to be made.

Keep the blinders on. If we don't do everything we can RIGHT NOW to fix our program and get a P5 invite we are dead. Spend the money, make it happen. Otherwise close the program down. Everyone can see the separation between the haves and the have nots becoming insurmountable

Probably been posted but just in case:

http://tbo.com/sports/colleges/usf-bulls/usf-officials-ready-to-act-for-on-campus-stadium-20140912/

"Harlan said this week he and USF president Judy Genshaft will soon begin a fact-finding mission, probably during the school’s current fiscal year, to determine the feasibility of constructing an on-campus football stadium. He’s not certain if a task force will be assembled."

“We would work with some companies and consultants to give us the answers to our questions,’’ Harlan said. “Where would it be located? What would it look like? What are the financial implications? If we’re getting into a stadium, we’re going to need private and public support. What kind of appetite is there for that in this climate? All those things would have to be researched.

Taggart doesn't need to be worrying about an OCS.  He needs to focus on winning games to clean the stench off himself from his first fourteen games as the USF football head coach.

The best way for him to do that would be showering...in the locker room of an OCS!!!

Is he not supposed to answer questions asked of him?  He was asked about an OCS.

UCF sucked and still built a stadium. BUT their alternative was a lot worse than Raymond James.

OCS should not be influenced by wins or losses.

It should be finances, pride and community. If Raymond James wasn't such a nice venue we'd probably have a stadium by now, or in the works. Because it is so nice we can wait to build a better stadium than we could if we had no choice but to build one with haste.

Correct...On-campus stadium will have a 50-100 plus year impact...and that it will change the CULTURE of not only your football program but that also for  your Univ...as on-campus football games are the #1 event to bring alumni BACK to their Univ...and without them...you miss out...as studies show, its the alumni that are ENGAGED and more importantly, VISIT their Universities that are much more likely to  donate $$$ to the general fund (they can see growth/improvement of their school on every visit), and if you don't have that opportunity for the #1 event that bring alumni back...it will cost you $$$ in the long-run.

They had to build a stadium, the needed a venue. And I wish USF sucked enough to win some conference championships, no matter which conference it is they are in.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
