I used to work for her, she's GREAT people. But you don't name buildings after people until they're dead And you don't name pep rallies after mis-named buildings Naming FAIL Frank Morsani would like to talk to you. Apples and kumquats He bought and paid for the plaque You must be new to higher ed. Donate enough money and they'll name whatever the hell you want them to after you, alive or dead. True at pretty much any college or university in America.

True at pretty much any college or university in America. Huh? That was my point. Phyllis was an employee, not a donor. Don't get me wrong. I worked for her, and loved her dearly. My beef is the concept of honoring people by naming buidlings after them while still alive. Looks like I;m in a very small minority here. I'm used to that, LOL

Traditions are built over TIME. Until USF has a oncampus stadium we won't have any real pre-game traditions

Simple formula, SG Prez and Vice Prez spoke, Harlan, Taggart and a couple players. Cheerleaders, Sun Dolls, HOT, other teams were there walking around promoting their games (I saw Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer and Volleyball were out of town). Nothing that I would call news, but a fun little event to get students interested.

Nothing too terribly special. Although this was one of the few times while I have been here that I saw the athletes interacting with students. So it was refreshing. Looks like maybe a hundred or so students showed up. Over/under (to the people who went)?

Want to get students to games... Get rid of the keg ban that they put in place while I was a student. Edited August 30, 2014 by Gismo
