****, UCF is only sitting at 45?

How does everyone on this board feel about Cincinnati being ranked above UCF?

high imo. they lost a lot of key players and should struggle this season.

I feel Cincy will clearly be better than UCF this year.  I think Cincy would have had a real shot to knock them off last year.

Seems about right to me

Just funny that they finished the season with a Top 10 ranking, haven't played a game since, and are now at 45. Love it. Proves the rest of the world knows how lucky they were last season and how it won't happen again.

Rest of the world? Tap the breaks, buddy. It's one guy, Sagarin, and his computer.

They aren't ranked in the AP or USA Today polls either...

They are a worse team than they were last year, so that would make sense. But gloating over Sagarin's computer putting them at 45 and declaring it worldwide proof of last year's team being overrated seems a but much.

Not sure he said last year's team was overrated, more like they were a fluke.

AP has NEVER had a team they ranked in the top 10 at the end of the season not even be ranked in the top 25 the following pre season.

UCF lost their 2 best players on offense, one of which was their QB taken number 3 overall in the NFL draft.  I have no problem with them falling that far because it makes sense.    What I find funny though is how teams like Texas A&M don't have the same thing happen to them when they lose their 2 best players that carried their team.  Or Georgia.  Or Clemson.   Or how bout how The Gators lose to an FCS team in the 2nd to last week of the season and get to be ranked 23rd.

What the rankings also tell me is that the AAC is WIDE open.   The number one team in the conference is Cincy at 38 with a 77 rating and we are at 81 with a 66.5 rating.    Once you get to about #35 it just becomes a guessing game.   The Bulls could finish anywhere from 45 to 120.  Cincy could be anywhere from 20 to 70.   FSU is going to be 1 to 6.  It's much easier to figure out just how good the good teams will be.

Sitting here on my toilet half sleep, I sill know that's wrong. Without doing any research, I'm positive it's happened in at least the last 20 years.
