Went back and looked, couldn't believe no threads on this, USF's most famous athlete.

Um, hello:

There was at least one other thread on the selfie, if that's what you're referring to.

Dom is tearing up the MLS... really shocked be when he came out and was buried behind Sapong, Bunberry & Saad. The loan to Orlando City changed everything for him.

At the time he deserved to be buried there.  All three are/were young and talented forwards that got there before Dwyer, and Dwyer wasn't doing anything impressive in practice.  Sapong is considered more "talented" than Dwyer and is the guy they expect to become a huge star eventually.  The move to Orlando City gave Dwyer an opportunity to play and the Orlando City coach makes you earn everything you get.  So he learned how to be a professional and it has paid off big time.  All about taking advantage of opportunity.  He may lead the MLS in Goals Scored before this season is over.  Question is whether he will end up back in Europe long term.

Part of the reason why you couldn't find anything about it was because this happened over a week ago.

In terms of new news, he scored 2 more goals against Montreal 3 days ago. This puts his total goals up to 14, which is second behind Wright-Phillips. If Dom can keep up with Wright-Phillips (who is a great scorer) throughout the whole season, that would be very impressive! We know he has the ability for sure. Go Dom!

Former USF Star Dwyer to Play in MLS All-Star Game

TAMPA, AUGUST 4, 2014 – Former USF men’s soccer star Dom Dwyer added to his long list of accomplishments this season when he was named to the MLS All-Star team on Sunday.

Dwyer was awarded the spot after Toronto FC forward Jermain Defoe had to drop out of the game due to injury.

In his first full season with Sporting Kansas City, Dwyer has netted 14 goals, which ranks second in the league. That mark is also good for third on the team’s all-time single-season goal scoring list. Dwyer has also helped lead Sporting KC to the best record in the league to this point.

Why did it take an injury to get the guy that is number 2 in goals onto the all star game?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
