Talking trash is different than talking truth.

Regardless, your point about not saying anything if you have nothing nice to say used to be the standard some parents would try to instill, and some still do.  If that's the measure there's still hope.

Just tying it back to the original comment about truth.

If not asked, don't say.  Right?

If there's no need to say it, don't say ... I think we're on the same page:

If Straub really did post that with his twitter handle, then I have no problem with Taggart kicking him off the bus.

What the Niners as an organization do, and who they choose to draft, has no effect on Straub. The fact that Willie is close with Harbaugh and vouched for Lynch makes this situation even worse.

This would be like a Mizzou assistant coach posting that he can't believe the Rams would draft Sam.

Personally, I wouldn't have vouched for Lynch, but that's just me. I'm sure Taggart saw a side of AL that we didn't and felt comfortable doing so.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone seen the tweet first hand? Because I never did and haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else but this thread.

Watching Straub tweet over the year I can tell he wears his heart on his sleeve. Obviously there is some bad blood there, "integrity and character" doesn't equate to calling someone a liar or druggie mind you. His comments are borderline though and for that reason it's time for Willie to put him on a short leash but not to fire him. If Straub wants to leave this might be a good time to have the conversation though.

Well there is the fact that AL complained pubicly about the food which is part of straub' s purvey. This all after he left ND to come home to his sweetness. Add on top of that he was taking Adderal which ACTUALLY kept him from gaining weight. I'm backing Straub pretty far on this one.

That being said, you have to remember who the boss is

I believed he said 'he wasn't a fan of usf's meal plan'.

Which inferences negative but has no obvious negative connotation. He could have blamed himself but that almost never helps in sports or politics.

You say you didn’t drop weight, but you lost weight. What caused you to lose that weight?

“I was on Adderall. I was prescribed Adderall. That’s all. And it just quenched my eating habit, my appetite. I just wasn’t eating much so I dropped weight.â€

Are you still on Adderall?

“No sir.â€

That was during the year that you sat out?

“Yes sir.â€

How much weight did you drop? What was the lightest you were?

“I would have to say the lightest probably 240, 241.â€

#USF DE/OLB Aaron Lynch is up to 260 pounds while training at API. Targeted weight is 265. Wasn't a fan of USF meal plan. #NFLDraft
