Solid emotional presence. This guy's for REAL.

The players are going to crawl through broken glass for this coach.

Many people always say that people don't want to coach at USF or play for USF, well Antigua proved that to be wrong. It's very rare to see that kind of REAL EMOTION and PASSION in a coach at his introduction. This is a man that really wanted this job from the beginning and this is a man that will do all he can to be successful at USF. This man has been through so much and his journey is something that will keep him grounded and keep people gravitating to his circle. People like this don't fail in life and this man is not going to fail at USF. Can't wait to take this ride with him.

Very well said! I am looking forward to being excited about USF's new athletic administration. Over the past four years, there has been MANY Ups and Downs (mostly downs). I just want to see improvement across the board, and I hope that USF is choosing people that want to build into a college of legacy.

So, the first thing he learned as a head coach - You gotta stay and answer questions at pressers...

This guy went Jim Leavitt school of pressers. We arent going to get too much from him.  Also he was probably nervous as he has never been in this position before.

Well he has had press conferences before but the emotion of where he came from and what he is today really hit him hard. This guy really wanted this opportunity and everything just started to flow out. Really quite the sight to see such realness from a big tough Bronx born former basketball player now head coach.

Couldn't find the tounge-in-cheek emoticon...

Hey guys, Kentucky fan here and you guys hired a great person for your coach. Yes, UK fans are very sad to see him go as he's a really good guy and was instrumental in a lot of our recruiting.

As for Memphis fans saying it was a bad hire... ignore em. Memphis hates everything to do with Cal and his staff... only reason they like Pastner is because he stayed. He almost went with Cal to Kentucky and they were badmouthing him too before he ended up staying there.

Orlando is a great hire and I expect he will do very well for you guys. I know I will be rooting for you guys and following how you all do. :)

Thanks a lot chingy for dropping in and giving us your insight. Pleaee stick around a while and contribute where you can. I think we'll be talking about an learning about Orlando for a while. Thanks.

New money is indeed next. I don't know for sure but my guess is that Harlan's efforts in the coming months will be launching some new big time fundraising initiatives.

The players are going to crawl through broken glass for this coach.

Many people always say that people don't want to coach at USF or play for USF,

Just to clarify ... people always said that BEFORE USF made more of a commitment to basketball. USF and Stan made this a more attractive job.

well Antigua proved that to be wrong.

Actually, Masiello proved that to be wrong, too.
