Coming out of Tampa Prep (Fla.), Heath held offers from DePaul, Princeton, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville and North Florida before deciding to join his father at USF. Heath will have three years of eligibility remaining. He will likely get a waiver to play immediately at his new school given that a precedent has been set in previous seasons. Rhode Island fired Jim Baron in 2012. He accepted the Canisius job and his son, Billy, followed him from URI to Canisius and was granted a hardship waiver, allowing him to play in the 2012-2013 season. The same thing occurred the previous season, when Central Michigan fired Ernie Zeigler. His son, Trey, received immediate eligibility when he transferred to Pitt. Wonder if circumstances are grounds for an appeal? Remember, this isn't football, there is no 1-A or 1-AA (or new names), there are about 350 division 1 schools, all are equal in terms of transfering rules. Division 2 (like St. Leo) is where a transfer doesn't have to sit. Of course, if Josh gets the waiver, then it doesn't matter. Side note, if we rehired Stan we would get Josh with him. (I kid, sort of)

He stepped in when needed, and helped the team. He'll need to work on strength & scoring, but will be a good PG for someone.

We could have used him next season. Hope AC recovers fully and is back to form.
