I got all excited when USF had a top 25 class. Still waiting on a conference championship.

*****? :D

We get it, let's wait until these recruits sign and then play to see if they pan out. We're just happy that we're pulling together a great class so far (sub 40). Would you rather us be ranked in the 50's, 60's or 70's so yo could then complain how Taggs isn't recruiting well? I have a feeling no matter what the circumstances, you'd find a way to complain about our class so far.

Wrong...if Ironside signed, he'd deem it our best haul yet.

Just did a comparison with some other teams in ESPN's top 40 classes and we should fall in the mid 30's. Looking at Texas Tech's class, it is very similar to ours except we have 1 more 4 star recruit. We should jump right in front of them at 34, but we shall see.

Not sure how frequently they update.  Others update daily, I think.

Doesn't work exactly like that. There are weighted ranks if a kid is in the Rivals100 or Rivals250. Meaning a 4 star in the rivals100 has more points for the rankings than a 4 star in the rivals200 who has more points than a "regular" 4 star. The weighting historically has been more exponential than linear so can really add to the total points.

They apparently grade by needs met (or apparently met)...but it's squishy.

You guys are Funny. They take the number of subscribers per school and grade the recruits so that they will fall into that same priority, Sometimes when they can't downgrade an obviously talented recruit who everyone was pursuing, they downgrade some other poor kid to compensate. They often don't grade kids who they have seen time and time again so that they can use then to raise a score later if the need arises. There is 0 accountability in this game and hence zero responsibility in the ratings? As usual money rules the day.

And Sanjay, your stating that Rivals rankings affect ESPN rankings. That just nuts. Aside from the fact that it attempts to ascribe a level of discipline in the system that just isn't there. Heck they are just lucky if they don't have a kid ranked 3 different times. I  mean we all know that you are a pay site apologist but this is just silly talk.

Sorry, I missed the part at signup for this site where "original thought" as some average joe defines it, was required.

When you stay stupid stuff like you're going to sue the recruiting services, expect to be met with derision from me.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
