This is great for the University and community as a whole.  

 

Only helps with the quality of life,  education and perception of those in the area or who go thru USF.

 

 

Not to discredit anything but comparing this to an OCS is not comparing apples to oranges(BTW Im in favor of an OCS). Most /Half of this funding for the (Heart Hospital) is coming from the State and  County money.

"The state Legislature allocated $6.9 million to the project last year and another $12.5 million this year. Hillsborough County also pledged $2 million to the project".

"About $30 million will be needed to complete the building. House Speaker Will Weatherford, a Republican from Wesley Chapel, attended the groundbreaking and promised to make good on the rest".

 

With that said, No reason we cant have both( Heart Hospital and an OCS). Need donors to start the OCS fund. Not rely on State and county.
