Got to give some credit to USF AD Doug Woolard on bringing this to Tampa!! He has done a lot for USF. Also, former USF associate AD Rob Higgins has been brining in great events to Tampa. I expect him to be a candidate for the USF AD after Woolard retires.

Last time I checked, there wasn't any usf bulls stuff in Ray Jay. Only flags and posters on usf game days.

A suggestion .... Assume anything posted by JTrue is dripping with sarcasm.   B)

That is completely uncalled for. I expect more out of a Mod and a gentleman. Good day to you sir!

"Gentleman" I can completely agree with but I've always considered myself more a Rocker than a Mod ...

See, I was thinking the opposite...

Did Doug have anything to do with it?

So beyond the allocation to each team that is participating, how does a "commener" try to land tickets to this event?

I would think not.

If USF is the host school, we would have been part of the presentation just like with basketball ...

Most important part of this is Higgins to AD which I believe others are looking at also. I think that would be a great move if he's interested.

I sure hope the rumors are true. I recall him being an associate AD before taking the job with the Tampa Sports Commission. Is he a USF graduate? I've briefly tried looking up his resume or CV on the web and haven't found anything. I'd love to have someone at the helm that's connected to the program in that way.

I can assure you our practice fields will be shown lots as one of the teams involved in the game will be holding drills at USF during the days leading up to the game. It's a great stadium and I never want an OCS.

Just a shot in the dark here. Isn't it possible they use the Bucs fields, with it being an NFL facility and all?

Haven't teams in the Super Bowl used USF's facilities when it was held in Tampa in the past?

Yes. In 2009 the Steelers were tweeting about seeing our guys lifting in the weight room.

When the Bucs host the Superbowl, season ticket holders are put in a lottery for the opportunity to purchase tickets.  Not sure how many total tickets were available for the lottery, but probably not very many.

I wonder if USF will be able to offer something similar for this game?    If so, it certainly wouldn't hurt season ticket sales that year.
