I think it was a f up but the field goal was small potatoes. Not managing to correct the penalties all year is more concerning

Team doesn't know how to put teams away.

Should have won that game

In fairness ucf played about as bad as they could. That game is played 10 times and 8 of them USF looses by +21.

It was mostly holding and false start penalties tonight.  Those are "heat of the moment" penalties; with some players, it's tough to get them to the mental state they need to be where they can be mentally tough and avoid those mistakes.

As for the penalties most of us were REALLY concerned about, the illegal motion penalties, I can't remember one all night.  If there were any, they were extremely few.

I'm still proud of the team.

A few years ago these are the kind of posts we'd make fun of those guys in Orlando for but might as well embrace where we are. Great moral victory for USF today... We are bowling against the spread

we were 4 TD underdogs.  we went in and played a lot better than anyone expected.  we lost but at least it wasn't an embarrassing loss.  they went in and played their butts off so I'm proud of them for that.  there are better days ahead…taggart will get things turned around.

Illegal motion is something that coach should be able to work out by just rote practice.  I really thought that improved tonight immensely.

The offense actually looked good but a lot of room for improvement.

Can't wait to see a complete team..

Holy lord it's hard to take anything you say seriously when you keep saying "loose" instead of "lose". And you can't even blame autocorrect!

This^^

Yes it sucked to lose, we can all play Saturday morning coach and say kick the fg instead of trying to push for the td but it was a tight game and getting 7 at that point would have been big. Pretty sure you would have all castrated Holtz for being conservative and kicking the points.

I like coach's drive, can't wait to see what he does the next 2 years.
