The unstated premise is that CWT can install and run the Stanford offense as well as the Harbaughs. Maybe but it's hard to say "yes" based upon what we've seen thus far.

If we're going to lose, give me exciting spread it around football at least.  There is nothing worse than having a horrible team, that is totally uninspiring.

FOLKS, THIS OFFENSE IS THE WORST OFFENSE IN THE COUNTRY.  What aren't you getting about that.  Scrapping it can only improve things.  It can't get any worse.

You don't have to scrap the plays we have, just pass more on first and second down before we are trying to play catch up, and throw a bit down field when we pass instead of at the line of scrimmage or behind.

Take some chances and don't Holz out.

Go Bulls!

It is questionable

It's so funny, the ebb and flow of TBP.

After the McNeese game, I make a post about how it's going to take a while to get the Holtz out of this team, and I get vilified for it, b/c Taggart doesn't know what he's doing, he can't coach, etc.  .

Several weeks later, it's a foregone conclusion that Taggart just needs to get his guys in the system and we will be fine.

Now we have another tough loss - admittedly where there were some coaching bungles, and now we're pretty much back to full circe, with the variation that the offense needs to be scrapped.

Tags isn't in "win at all costs" mode.  We have to give him a chance to let his system work.  Some of you are still under the impression that it should happen in 2013.

That's ok, but you're only setting yourself up for further disappointment.  We need to expect incremental improvement - maybe 1-3 wins more than this year - next year.   This is rebuilding, it's not like Taggart is God during the 6 days of creation.

WKU averaged 28.8 ppg last year. If you take out the shutout against Alabama it is 31.3. Not Oregon but not terrible. and much better than where we are.

That's the problem.  We aren't getting incremental improvement.  We just aren't.  9 games is a good enough sample size.  It's not happening folks.  We weren't expecting great improvement for 2013, but we were expecting SOME improvement.  Right now, this team will be VERY lucky to match last season's 3 wins.

I'm talking about incremental improvement in 2014, not this year.  Now it's about getting the freshmen used to the system.  We'll add more pieces on NSD.  I agree we'll be lucky to get one more win this year.

Actually it can get worse. Because amazingly Southern Miss, Purdue, UMass, FIU and Miami (ohio) average a field goal or more less than we do.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
