If any defenses play zone against us I think white can pick them apart if the line gives him time.

Given that our receivers can't consistently beat man coverage white will have a hard time against that.

That's two ifs...and now that teams have two games of film why would any D do that?

Not that I'm rooting against White, but this is EXACTLY why I don't get high on a player after only one game. The post-Houston White adulation (i.e., will be the greatest USF QB ever!) was ridiculous

The majority of our fanbase was looking for a big reason to celebrate where this team Is going. White was that. I think most rational fans saw it as a typical USF overreaction. He can still be good

Folks are eager for anything positive to get them through this craptastic season. I won't begrudge them that. Of course it's always easy to be smug after the fact.

Still think the offense looks more enthused with Bench under center.  He is closer to 100% and would have liked to see him get a shot in the 2nd half.

It wasn't just fans overacting but also the local media as well.

I posted this back in the Houston game thread

Hopefully a lessen has been learned from all. Maybe White gets better and shows some positive promise for the future. It takes more then 1 game to find out.
