na no gypsy magic here, just rational football thinking. While he had a good game against houston , tonight proved he has a long way to go to be successful. Funny how much flak and down votes I got for speaking the truth...

I'll say this, there have been a lot of snap overreactions on this board (good and bad), but the Mike White "Greatest Ever" takes the cake.

Not that I'm rooting against White, but this is EXACTLY why I don't get high on a player after only one game. The post-Houston White adulation (i.e., will be the greatest USF QB ever!) was ridiculous

The majority of our fanbase was looking for a big reason to celebrate where this team Is going. White was that. I think most rational fans saw it as a typical USF overreaction. He can still be good

He looks like a freshman out there. There is a reason to be excited, but that is for the future. He has POTENTIAL to be a very solid QB but hes not very good right now. He shows glimpses but he isn't very smooth fundamently yet and I think that will come when the game slows down for him.

ok? 4 INT's, which included a pick 6 plus the possibility for several more that were dropped and a fumble in the endzone as well.

Eveld could have done that...

Like I said before, QB is only part of the problem. Hopefully White can bounce back and turn into a quality player for us but he sure isn't the savior of our program just yet.

I left the game at the end I didn't see him have two int's in the last 4 mins...  yeah thats no good

 

Still White needs some talent around him he has none right now outside of a few of the backs and davis

Yep, a few DECENT players can't mask the collective terribleness of that offense. Hopefully we can get some playmakers by next season or it will be like groundhog day next year...

If any defenses play zone against us I think white can pick them apart if the line gives him time.

Given that our receivers can't consistently beat man coverage white will have a hard time against that.

Biggest priority needs to be offensive linemen and wide receivers.
