I'll go out on a limb & say it helps. UL showed they're beatable, and like feardabull said, UCF probably will slip up against one of the easier teams like we always have in the past. If they finish strong, we may be facing a very overconfident Knights team, and tonight they showed they have their weaknesses too.

Every team has weaknesses, we don't have a whole lot to exploit them though.

On the bright side, it did show you can run on UL.

Just a question if we can do that without a viable passing game...if we have a three headed monster with Shaw, Davis, and Tice it's a possibility.

Attendance:  Hurts.  No Top 10 opponent.  While Louisville is still a good team, casual fans from the area will be less likely to go to the game.  It won't be AS exciting or big if USF wins.  It will just turn into "struggling USF against still-ranked-and-powerful-but-not-unbeaten Louisville."  Not going to help attendance.

Chances of winning:  50/50.  Either Louisville comes in strong and ready to play with a chip on their shoulder, or they come in and pull a Northwestern (Week after they lost to Ohio State to ruin their unbeaten season, they played with too much emotion against Wisconsin, tried to do too much and played bad football).

Future of the Program:  Unknown.  UCF just got one of its signature wins in program history (took them long enough).  If we are looking to escape this conference and get into a Power 5, we need a big win in the next few years to prove ourselves.  Winning against an unbeaten Louisville could have been a huge boost.  It would have legitimized CWT's new era, put us on track for a Conference Championship, and given us a morale boost for the year.  More fans in the stands every game and confident play.  Now a win next week still puts us on track for a Conference Championship, but it won't give us that boost of support and confidence that we need.  A loss will knock us out of the race for that first Conference Title and hurt attendance for the rest of the year.

Overall:  Time will tell.  We let the boys work and earn this.

Well, the game only leads to one conclusion. We MUST beat Louisville, and then we MUST beat UCF. I don't care what the odds are.. I thought we were going to lose to UC; and I was shocked. So, let's just win.

BTW, this loss hurts us. Our opponent is going to be tougher AND UCF is now in position to dominate the AAC.

This probably means nothing, but after Louisville's first loss last year, they lost the following game to UConn, which was UConn's only conference win last year IIRC. That had to be an emotionally draining game. Louisville will be going from a primetime game in their stadium, to a road game in a half empty stadium. I think all of this could add up to a letdown for Louisville, and possibly a big upset.
