I know he is dealing with some heavy emotions right now having lost his mom. Hopefully football is a good outlet for him and I'd really like to see him bear down and truly be a force, especially in next weekend's game. Maybe he can put Teddy Heisman on his back a time or two, or at least free up someone else to.

I hope he keeps it up. We'll need it against Louisville.

Many here were on him about how overrated he is and how he has underachieved. Many here still ripping some of these kids apart for under-performing without knowing fully what is going on in their lives. Man, sometimes this sport can distort people's perception and make them unbelievably crazy and irrational.

Unfortunately, I was unaware of his wife's passing. When he told me, I certainly offered my condolences. Tons of respect for both father and son in being able to handle such a tough time in their lives.

Lynch needs to bulk up a little to be an NFL DE.
