if usf won aac they still wouldnt make a bcs game

louisville will crush us and show us how the game should be played

smazza, let me try to explain this to you one more time. The winner of the AAC has an automatic bid to a BCS game therefore, if USF somehow wins the AAC, they WILL go to a BCS game.

Would we even want such a thing to happen? We'd be killed.

Are you turning down a bcs bowl invite if it were offered? Ur crazy!!!!

The payout for a bcs bowl game is 17 million! Ur gonna turn that down?

Not if it's in the second half of the season like Eveld last year.

Ok, thanks.  Did not know the rules so I appreciate it.

 

Not 100% sure on how the rules work, but I do remember that being the reason Eveld's was "burned" last year after only a handful of plays.

Here's the redshirt rules.  A redshirt is applied for after the season, if a player has played one down the only possible redshirt is a medical one as long as the play was in the first half of the season.

Here's the redshirt rules.  A redshirt is applied for after the season, if a player has played one down the only possible redshirt is a medical one as long as the play was in the first half of the season.

a player who uses a red shirt for non injury purposes can't apply for a 6th year due to injury.

 

if he gets hurt from here on out then it goes against his eligibility.

Sometimes you'll see a freshman play a bit early, then get "injured" and take the redshirt when it's obvious he's not going to play much. I think BJ did that.

Only in the first half of the season and only if they have played sparingly.  Once you hit game seven even one play burns the redshirt.

 

I remember that happening to an FSU QB some years back.  Kid played exactly one play in the second half of the season and was done for the season, burning his redshirt.
