They have to out him on the active roster if they take him from another team's practice squad. he was never on the 49ers Practice Squad. I believe if he went unclaimed he could have signed with whatever practice squad he wished.

Too bad the Eagles didn't get him.

He wasn't on the 9er practice squad but the Seahawks do have to keep him on their 53-man roster or they could lose him back to San Fran ... He looked like one of the best in the preseason... against 3rd string in an exhibition game i could get specific but the long and short of it is simple---bj was never an nfl qb NEVER He was and he still is, smazza. But seriously, why are you so adamant about condemning the talents of a kid who represents the school you claim to support? Everyone else here is excited to see BJ succeed, and all you want to do is come in here and piss all over it. You were in here talking this crap all through the preseason, and when he made the 49ers roster, you went silent. Then he gets waived and you pop back up, but since it was announced the Seahawks picked him up, you've again stopped commenting.

No...he forgot to call a certain "someone" from our board for advice first. Pete is probably beating himself in the head right now.
