At least it will be a win.  We can say we have the best mascot computer hacks in college football.

I'd say that's a pretty good testament to our Computer Science and Engineering department

This. CS&E rocks, given me a good life so far!!

It's $20k and constant airing of our bull in a china shop commercial on national tv. I think if we are in 1st it is more likely to be aired.

 this is from the website...

8. Prizes: ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: A $1,000 check for the winning school's mascot program

and an automatic place for the school's mascot on the 2014 Capital One All-America Mascot

Team. Approximate Retail Value: $1,000. Prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be

made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right

to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become

unavailable for any reason. Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize

receipt and/or use.

Kinda disappointing. Should be something like a trip to the NC for performance at half time.

No, Damon's right it's a $20K scholarship for the winning school's mascot program. Kane's quote is for the Write-In contest winner, made me go look. This also from the website:

The Capital One National Mascot of the Year will be crowned at the Capital One Bowl on January 1, 2014.

The winning school will be awarded a $20,000 scholarship toward its mascot program. Each participating

Capital One All-America mascot’s school will also receive $5,000 for their respective mascot program.

So even the non-winners' trophies are $5K, but the write-in winner will get to be in the big dance next year.
