Beal committed to Marshall, he wanted to play on an "explosive" offense. I just noticed that USF was among many that offered to him. Maybe you should put me on ignore. I'm certainly not going to change what I post and you don't seem to like it. Issue solved.

Keep posting, Slick...most of us share in locker room banter, so it's cool.

 

I can see someone wanting to play at Marshall, but I've been to Huntington.  The only way I'd live there is as a prisoner.  And, 90% of WV folks are die hard WVU fans, and most HATE Marshall.  That doesn't sound like fun to me.

Marshall is doing something right. If we could pull half the talent at QB they have over the years, we'd be in good shape. And who can blame a kid for looking at their offense and the ours and deciding they'd like to catch 2 TDs in a game here or there over 2 TDs in a season.

They are taking kids who can't qualify elsewhere through their "don't call it a prep school" on site community college or whatever system they have rigged up over there. Definitely working for them from a recruiting standpoint, though.

This **** is just as sad coming from us as our bashing Miami's discipline problems. We have our fair share of academically challenged players (and criminals) and to pretend Marshall, or someone else, is out recruiting us because they have lower standards makes us look pathetic. Give players a reason to come to USF, don't make excuses why they don't. Edited by JTrue

My post was not intended as a shot at Marshall; it's just what they are doing - quite successfully. I don't begrudge them for it but it's been widely discussed and I don't think you can just ignore that it's why they are pulling highly touted guys.

HA!! My wife is from WV, and on my first trip to see her family (and watch USF stun WVU in Morgantown), I saw someone wearing this shirt.  I was stunned...and quickly learned how rabid WVU fans are (which made that win on a warm November day, all the sweeter).

This is one of the greatest wonders on Earth...Marshall's QB is from FL, and would've starred at USF, too.

 

WHY>>>can't we get a stud QB?  We just need to one to start the trend, but we need completely inept in that area. Some day...
