Bridgewater and Bortles

I still don't think Bortles is in the same league as Bridgewater or a guy like Aaron Murray.  But, man, I sure wouldn't mind having Bortles right now running the Bulls offense.

Amazing how the Orlando school was able to get that kind of talent playing in an inferior conference, while USF couldn't even get a competent QB.

UCF had Daunte Culpepper 20 years ago.  Every school gets good/great players once in a while.  The key is consistency.

Good opportunity for our defense to make a name for itself.

Hopefully, we are considerably better by that point.  We will need sustained drives to keep them off the field as much as possible.

I believe Bortles was a 2 star coming out of HS.  Its not that they were able to get that kind of talent, it is more of the fact they developed him.

BJ was a talent but never got developed and that is proved by becoming a NFL QB.

How did BJ not get developed? Where is he ranked on the total yards for a QB for the Big East? Top 3 isn't it? There are several NFL qbs on that Big East list behind BJ. No way he wasn't developed. They don't give NFL jobs to QBs that aren't, the NFL isn't a place to develop, its a place to hone.

Bj made some bonehead mistakes, but in hindsight, it may have been because he was trying to hard to make things happen.  He was not our problem last year, our defense was.
