Huge recovery game... and it takes  a lot of heart and character to play that hard when the other side of the football is as awful as our offense is.  It will take time to sort it out, but if we keep the defense that played today in it all year we will at least be competitive.  

This O is painful to watch -- they are just that bad.

Defense was excellent, 1 score allowed and that was with a very short field and being on the field all afternoon because the offense is offensive

Huge improvement on the defensive side of the ball.  Plus a bit of luck as well, since MSU didn't do themselves any favors.

exactly. Their offense is nearly as bad as ours. Giving prop to the defense against their offense is like giving a medal for effort in pee wee.

This is a huge bright spot, because we will be able to compete in most games even without an offense given the defense performs like it did today

I wish Bench had gotten some more reps today though... Maybe he aggravated his lingering injuries after that 1 drive?
