Huge blow to AAC. AAC now has no bowl to send champ to. Meanwhile, USF is sitting back fat, dumb, and happy with AAC content with permanent minor league status.

About the only good thing I can say for 90% of the bowls anymore is it gives you extra practice time with the players.   Oh, and when we're in one, it give us one more shot to watch our Bulls play.

Not when Boise state wins 10 or more games a year. We'll get a bcs bowl 50% of the time if we're lucky.

Aye. We all understand that the AAC is step backwards.    Made a deal with the Mrs. a few years back. The next bowl game I attend will be with USF in a BCS(level...or whatever it's called today) bow

 USF is sitting back fat, dumb, and happy with AAC content with permanent minor league status. 

 

Yeah, it was 39% in conference winning percentage during our BE tenure that showed that we were on-par with The Haves. How we wound up in the back seat is beyond me.  :FIREdevil:

I'm not sure how we're "sitting back." I don't see that we have a lot of options right now. (Besides winning...)

No kidding! The American invites Memphis and they still can't land their hometown bowl game, just sad!...I guess the new created mystery bowl will be the one with our champion vs who knows who.

 

 

I've been saying for a while now our champ needs to play the MWC champ.

 

Now more than ever, I think this is what will ultimately end up happening.

 

We need to break away and do our own thing. At this point, it looks like we will be forced to anyways.

Except the odds are that it wouldn't happen very often, hopefully ..... although, you never know how the MAC may figure on a year to year basis.

 

 

Question, is there still going to be the BCS type ranking system that uses the computer/human poll combination that will determine the G5 AQ? Or will it just be one the human polls?

That is a good question, I don't know the answer to that.

 

My premise for our number one vs. MWC's #1 is what I think the likelihood of the "BCS Bowl slot" being taken away from the G5. I truly believe this is inevitable. 

 

I'd like to see the G5 do something preemptive. Alas, they probably won't.

Seems like CUSA has a better bowl schedule than us. They now have the big heart of dallas bowl w/ big 10.
