I still think we have a good chance of beating UCF. They will have a chip on their shoulder and we need to handle them like we did all those other huge victories we had. All those teams were good on paper... FSU, WVU, the Jayhawks, Auburn, ND..... There are times our players just find a way to dig deep... I think Holtz took away their shovel but Willie is bringing in a backhoe so I think we will beat them.

Personally Glad to see us get disrespected and rightfully so.  We have suffered the last 3 years under Skip Poopy Holtz.  Yet every year we are always picked to finish in the middle to the top of  the Conf Standings.  Maybe by being disrespected we will play with a chip on the shoulder like we used to under Coach Lev.    Maybe the Curse of ESPN and others picking us to be good  or finishing in the top half of the standings is finally over.   

TIME TO MAKE SOME NOISE and shock the haters.  First big Shock is Michigan State,   (Which BTW is very winnable).

Great for the plug, and the write-up itself was pretty even handed regarding USF's chances this year. It's up to the team to prove everyone wrong.

Is UCF going to be that good this year or are we that underrated? Every major prediction site has UCF far ahead of USF. I guess we will show them come November.

 

UCF beat up on the weaker CUSA, while we struggled against the stronger BE.  Depends how quickly the players pick up the new system at USF, but I still believe we have the better football players.  UCF doesn't recruit well.

Look at each teams games against Ball State. Pretty telling in regards to the quality of both teams last year. Means nothing next season though, obviously. Wouldn't be shocked if the Bulls drop the game in Oviedo, but let's hope not!

I think that one game is a very good reference point for how good we were last year. 50 years from now, you're going to be thinking about USF seasons and 2012 is the year we "lost to Ball State."
