Taggart is more demanding than Skip, plus maybe Skip promissed him that he would be the top receiver at LA tech.

If he's going with Holtz he obviously doesn't like coaching.

Squire Bone: Good sir, how are you? I hope all is well. I write to you to inquire about our mutual friend, Sire Griffin.

Duke Bivins: Our good friend Sterling is no longer with us for he has transferred to Louisiana Technical University.

Squire Bone: Good heavens! Oh lamentable day. If it is not too bold to ask, what occurred that would cause such a decision? He indubitably does not want to find himself subject to rules regarding intra-division transfers, does he? He assuredly would have to forgo a season of playing handegg!

Page KRock: Lords Bone and Bivins, Sire Griffin would not have to forgo a season of play as he will be graduating this summer; he will be immediately available for Louisiana Technical University, pip pip.

Duke Bivins: Squire Bone, Sire Griffin expressed that the coaching staff was his reason for making the decision.

LOL!!  :lmao:

Got a feeling that Willie is cleaning house of everyone that isn't willing to go that extra mile. Not saying that applies to SG specifically. But I expect some more attrition as well. He is going to transform this team into a hardened, disciplined Saturday war machine. Willie's interview this week was talking about how he was disappointed with the progress being made by the players. I think he is intentionally calling them out as a team. Far too long in coming.. For guys willing to commit fully, he will be a great coach, for those who want to coast, he is gonna be a nightmare. I think we are starting to see the effects of that. He has surrounded himself with a professional, disciplined organization and assistants. They are going to expect the same effort that they are willing to give. If SG wants to go play for the coach that just blew up our football program, I wish him Godspeed.

1) ^^ That **** was funny.

2) SG was a good player and he would have been good to have, however long term I really really like where Taggart is taking this team attitude wise. This work ethic will get results on the field, hopefully we will see some of it this season.

I wish Sterling the best... from a USF perspective, he will be a USF graduate, help our APR, worked hard and I have no issues with him choosing to leave because he feels it better for him.

The graduate transfer rule has helped USF a few times getting kids in, now the pendulum swings the other way.

And if he does go to La Tech, could he ask Skip to mail $2.5 million back to USF. (I kid, I kid)

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
