05/13:

Mel Kiper Jr. is taking the week to look at 2014 NFL draft prospects by position group, and today he starts things off with wide receivers and defensive ends.

The usual suspects from the Big East make the list, with Rutgers' Brandon Coleman ranked as the fourth-best receiver and USF's Aaron Lynch ranked as the third-best end.

Kiper touts Coleman's versatility, and particularly his ability to make a play after the catch . It's worth noting that Coleman had 135 more receiving yards than anyone Scarlet Knights player last season despite coming in second on the team in catches.

Lynch, meanwhile, will be a matchup nightmare, Kiper says . With 5.5 sacks as a freshman at Notre Dame in 2011, it's hard not to imagine having bigger success in the Big East this season, provided that he made the most of sitting out of the 2012 season after transferring.

Not sure if Fortunato followed his lead (can't see Kiper's Insider stuff) or if he did that himself ... Either way, not really surprised, either.

Taggart: Even before we talk about the football, the thing I really like is how much he has grown as a person in just the short amount of time that I've been here. I came in, and I heard he was this and he was that. That he wasn't accountable. That he was undisciplined. That he did things his own way. But the kid has been totally different since we've been here. He's really taken care of his business, on and off the field. You don't have to worry about him being on time. He's doing it all.

Very promising quote. One of the biggest overhangs on Aaron Lynch's draft stock is his off field character and work ethic, accountability. Willie is selling him pretty hard here. That's a good sign.
