2008 record 2–10

2009 record 0–12 (0–8 SBC)

2010 2–10     2–6 [Taggert's first year]

This was his pre-game news conference with one more game to go in the 2010 season, with his team's record at 2-9. And he knew that they were about to lose another game in their upcoming visit to Troy.

I really like how he talked about his team after a long season. And I like his demeanor and his recognition of what it takes to win.

Oops on the spelling!

Who is this Taggert guy? Never heard of him. You mean Willie Taggart?

I really think he can do positive things with this program. Hope we can get decent enough QB play to win some games this year.

Love his enthusiasm and his positive attitude.  Love the way he says #dosomething, and attacks each day with a force unknown to mankind, or what have you.

Just ready to see a mentally and physically tough USF football team take the field this year, and win some games.  Without that, the above sentence is mostly meaningless.

I'm in too.  I think he can undo the damage and bring some real passion and excitement.  I can't wait to restore our name and place, albeit it still in its infancy,  in CFB.

Our previous coach was a great public speaker too. I just hope some grit really rubs off on this team. I have a hunch that Willie T is a really demanding coach, but we'll get to see some of the "proof in the pudding" once the season starts.

If you follow any of the players on twitter, they have been talking about how they're getting their butts whooped this year conditioning-wise since "The Chase" started before spring practices. Sounds like they're being conditioned like they never have before. Let's hope the intensity stays high.

Players were tweeting about getting their butts kicked by Golden when he took over

At some point we'll realize that the players who just graduated (and contributed to the firing of two HC's) might have been a big part of the problem.

That's very possible Carolina. If that's the case, Skip failed to unite the team; Coach T looks to have already done that.

Carolina,

Making the team work hard is the coaches job. As a player you should expect to "get your butt whooped", but if your coach doesn't whip it, you relax.
