BBQ ain't bad, depending on who's doin' the cooking.

Saw a Lupton's BBQ catering truck parked beside the Athletic bldg yesterday afternoon... Maybe finalizing deal? ... Can't go wrong with the "Fat Man".

They had some great BBQ at the invite we went to a few months ago where we met the coaching staff...maybe it will be the same stuff? Great food!

It turned out to be Port - A - Pit / Game Day Events. BBQ was good, the water was cold and the shade was nice. Not a complaint, but it was a free meal, not really anything else to it (no door prizes or speakers or anything like that .... once again, I am grateful for a free meal, so no complaints) ..... so for those who missed out, you missed a meal. As a side note, the cookies they had for desert were very good.

It was pretty nice for a free BBQ. I asked the guy at the sign-in how many people RSVP'd and he said they expected right at 400. Don't know if 400 actually showed or not.   Good seeing Mr. & Mrs. Stuben. Now that we've gotten that out of our system, we just have to hang out until August.

  I sat on the West side yesterday (SHADE) and got a chance to watch the prospective recruits go by.   Its going to be a building process...I overheard a conversation where a recruits father said he did not think much of our coach last year and would not have wanted his son to come here...

 

Looks like there is/was a lot of negativity that will have to be overcome...and only winning is going to change that....
