I like this. These guys have to get their shut together, nothing will be given to them. Prediction: regardless of record, this will be the toughest USF team in our history.

Mitchell is back to his natural position after 3 years of waste. Then he promptly messes it up.

You guys do this every time. Tyrone McKenzie was certainly a productive transfer who is now in the NFL. Ryan Schmidt was a productive transfer. Darrell Scott only had one year at USF, but he led the team in rushing, so hard to not consider him productive for that season.

Productive transfers:

Tyrone McKenzie - LB from iowa state

Ryan schmidt - OG from KState

Ryam Gilliam - CB from Oregon (nickel behind jenkins and trae)

So, we've got 3 or 4 guys that made big enough impacts to remember.  McKenzie (3-star) and Schmidt (2-star) having significant impacts and Scott and Gilliam playing quite a bit.

The big get transfers (4 and 5 star guys) like Scott, Dunkley, Ford really haven't done much.  Sure Scott started most of 1 season, but by all accounts he didn't practice hard and really never lived up to his potential.

Have we ever had one tranfer from UF that wasn't flunked up and contributed more than a few tackles and or catches catches?

The glass is always 3/4 empty around here.

In Holz first year there were some guys that left the team in the spring and a couple of guys suspended.  In fact, pretty much every year a couple of kids get themself in trouble.  This is hardly indicitive of a new, tougher regime.

Yes, we're the classic case of a manic-depressive, bi-polar message board.
