Everyone knows it and there are banging us unmercifully inside. I've never seen so many ORs in my life. When you have no inside game their D can expand and kill your outside game as well. That is all Got news for you guys, our frontline and for that matter our team strongly resembles the nation's leader in rebounds per game. I think sometimes people believe that you have to have 6-10, 6-11 big husky beast men to be a good rebounding team. Teams like Syracuse are the exception not the norm. Most teams are built just like ours and some even smaller and less athletic but they get the job done on the boards. The problem is these guys are not taught proper fundamentals on rebounding and offensive execution. If they are then Coach Heath certainly is not enforcing it because the execution is poor and the effort is just not there on a consistent level. I already had a lot of respect for Ron Anderson, but watching this team play so far this season I have come to the conclusion that HE was the main reason that the team was able to play in the NCAAT last year. Stan Heath is a good defensive minded coach but he has never been a guy that can put together a well run offense. Watching Villinova last night I could only admire the way they ran their offensive sets. The spacing, screening, passing, and cutting was excellent most of the time. That's the reason why their bigs were always in great position to score an easy basket with the help being to late. They got good looks at outside jumpers and took them with confidence because USF just couldn't react fast enough.

And like I said, I knew losing Ron would be a huge hill to climb for us.

There are some teams even smaller and some that lack athletic ability with or w/o height that manage to rebound well too. The How to and the want to is what USF is lacking. Let one player go in while the rest watch. Its like they only allow 1 player near the basket on offense, everyone is at the 3 point line watching. Is that because they need a head start for defense? BB is not my game, but it doesn't look right to me.

Everyone just watched and then ran back to defend. Nova seemed to always be open and have nice looks for all their shots.

Its just a matter of not having a big PF or C body on the roster but Jordan. The season has been fun and this is the first year of something great coming for the future with our new facilities and sweet recruiting class. I expect us to not do so well against conference play with the lack of size on our team (seriously Fitz played Center last game, that would not happen in any other BE team.) Heath is the man and next year this team is going to be one of the better sides in the New BE from here on.
