I'm sorry I'm not wearing the G&G goggles on this hire.

Some people seem to think NFL automatically means results in college whether recruiting or on the field. Remember Bill Callahan or Mike Sherman? It really all comes down to results. Hes statistically had some of the worsts defenses in the NFL consecutively and that team he coached to the SB was known for its explosive offense under Gannon and Rice and got pounded by the Bucs.

Connections can get you anywhere in life.

Umm his defense wasn't that bad at oakland top 10 for a few years.

One has to really wonder how that game would've been if the Raiders were smart enough to change their play calls/signals - but I'm sure at the beginning of the year they didn't think they'd make it to the super bowl and if they did that they'd face the bucs.

Hey, we were all looking at Butch Davis as a potential head coach. He had some pretty good success with Miami in the early 00's, but he hasn't done much since (all conspiracies aside). We were pretty committed to giving him a shot if he was hired.

How about this, Bulls: he's not Amato.

--------

Also: speculated he'll coach a Tampa 2. If he can develop a tweak when facing the spread (for Louisville and Cincy) I feel good about this.

We can recruit slightly undersized but fast guys. this makes our LB coach important.

Don't even bother trying to explain. Nobody listens and 85% of the members here do not read through the entire thread before they hit reply to give their 'professional opinion'. This was a good hire, those who are educated on the subject matter know this.

Bresnahan%20rs.jpg

Chuck Bresnahan has spent almost 30 years in the NFL and major college football coaching defense. After helping Georgia Tech to the 1990 National Championship, Bresnaham moved on to coach with the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals and two different stints with the Oakland Raiders, including serving as their defensive coordinator last season. Bresnahan has coached Hall of Famer Rod Woodson and numerous Pro Bowlers, including Charles Woodson, Pepper Johnson, Justin Smith and Dhani Jones. Now, he trains the next generation of stars at FBU!

Wow, kinda looks like Chris Hovan with a blonde toupee.

21 points were scored by our defense. On the DVD it shows Lynch telling Jackson where they were most likely going to throw the ball.

Wasn't the result of the defensive performance in that game the result of the Raiders OC not changing the offensive signals and essentially not making any scheme changes against a coach (Gruden) that taught the whole defense the play calls from the Raiders?
