It only comes into play if they decide to form their own conference. I read somewhere the berth doesn't come into play at all. Because the 7 have played 5 years together, they can form their own conference and have an automatic berth.

They could raid the A10 and get Xavier, UDayton, St Joe's and form a pretty strong catholic basketball league on their own. Also, St Louis U is also catholic and can be added. If im not mistaken, there are quite a few catholic schools already in the A10

The legal entanglements of that decision are so complicated, however, that Aresco has been trying to slow the train and work out a deal to keep the league together. What about adding some of the non-football schools the basketball schools want?

Besides the ESPN proof is what, the BC AD saying something to a fan site? Getting closer all the time. All it takes is one person to start talking, and there are a lot of people in position to know. Once you file, then you can start interviews under oath and subpoenas. There is plenty of evidence out there, and plenty of things that ESPN and schools do not want made public. USF paid Leavitt just so he would go away. USF would be taken care of just to keep a lot of stuff from being made public. It's a wonderful country we live in, that is why we have so many smazza's. This. Some of you people seem to have no idea what it's like suing a large entitiy publicly. not a big deal as long as facts and law are on your side one cannot live in fear or intimidation if it wasnt for the lawyers there would be more abuse of the little guy, poor, underrepresented etc Yeah, the little guy would not be able to win a $70000 lawsuit and then have his lawyer keep most of it. I am SICK and tired of paying high insurance and medical bills to pay for PUNK ass lawyers' lifestyles. If you think about it, while some lawyers do honest noble work, a great many do not. It's not like the are helping to fuel the economy. I am also tired of people always finding a way to sue rather than actually working or starting a business. Known enough of those types.
