This is an historic day with the hiring of Willie Taggart as USF's football head coach. If I'm not mistaken, the University of South Florida is the only school of the 6 major conferences that has black head coaches in the 2 major sports of football and basketball. There are only 4 black football coaches in the 6 power conferences period. With 3 being in the SEC of all places.

Some of you might not care, but a big congratulations goes out to the USF administration for making this happen. Believe me, this will not get lost nationally by the media and certainly the Black Coaches Association will be making note of this historic event.

The black coaches association in my opinion is just a racist race bating organization.... screw them. The BCA gave Texas A&M, a university that actually hired a black coach, an "F" grade on their "hiring report card".

The basis for the grades:

- Number of direct telephone communications between the school and the BCA executive director or NCAA director of leadership development, with two calls required for an "A."

- Percentage of people of color on the search committee, with 30 percent required for an "A."

- Percentage of people of color who were interviewed on campus, with 30 percent or higher earning an "A."

- Duration of the search, with two weeks or longer required for an "A."

Texas A&M, even though it hired Sumlin, was the only FBS school to receive an F because it did not participate in the study.

UCF has some committee that contributes studies to ESPN every time they post another stupid article about black dudes numbers' going up or down each year. it's fvcking stupid and espn disregards hispanics or asians. i don't care if they don't interview many minorities, they can hire whomever they think is qualified.
