He's not getting fired. He will be here next season. And we will be left to hope that the few on this board who believe that he needs "his players", more time or some other such stuff are right. I would rather be wrong about skip and be winning that right about skip and losing.

If USF loses its season finale next Saturday, the 3-9 record would serve as the worst record in the Bulls’ 13-year history as an FBS program, surpassing the 4-7 mark in 2004. If that happens? The Son of Lou could find himself as the latest football boss to find himself on the coaching unemployment line. http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/11/25/the-fifth-quarter-week-13-rewind/related/

The reason people aren't buying this (that he'll stay, regardless) is because he really SHOULDN'T be here past this year because he hasn't shown the slightest bit of improvement in the program (other than academically) since he arrived. So while I know what you're saying (everything we've heard to date suggests he'll stay through next year), many are hoping that USF comes to its senses and makes a change notwithstanding the buyout and notwithstanding the excuses (not "his" players, etc.) And your instincts about CSH are probably NOT wrong. Smith. I think the same thing would apply here. John L was not fired. His contract will not be renewed and John L will be retained on staff as an adviser until the original contract expires in February.
