So who thinks that Floyd (a taller, pass first, more accurate QB) might actually play pretty well down the stretch... I'm not saying we're going 3-0 or anything but I can see him doing better than Eveld did his last few times as a starting QB... I saw him make a near perfect pass to davis in the end-zone and a nice check down pass coming off the bench in his first game which looked promising... Here's to a glass half full!!

I'm concerned about the offensive line giving him enough time.

If you watched the Bucs game you saw it. It's smart... No chance of someone nose diving the QB Center snap to cause a fumble...

it's dumb. far more likely to have a bad snap in shotgun than to have someone nosediving snap.

You people are delusional if you are thinking BJ took away more than he gave us. You think we were bad WITH him? Just wait. We wouldn't have won 1/2 the games we did if it wasn't for BJ, that kid was a stud for us. 3rd all time yardage in the Big East and he would have kept going if it wasn't for this terrible tragedy. Thanks for everything BJ...hope AW gets here soon. They should have called him in Saturday.

+1, BJ was a smart leader and a good decision maker. His ability to get first down with his legs kept him afloat. His biggest drawback was his accuracy.

Good luck Matt, I hope you can continue what BJ and Matt G started.

Well, here is our man to lead us down the final 3 games. I don't know much about him, except 3 memorable plays: 1 fumble in the FSU game, 1 in the UConn game, and a nice pass to Andre Davis in the end zone that slipped through Davis' fingers.

Here are his career stats (or lack thereof).

What should our expectations be? Why is Holtz choosing Floyd over Eveld?

Eveld is being red-shirted so he'll have eligibility for next season. If Floyd has a problem expect Epps to come in.

Eveld's redshirting this season. Floyd beat him out for job in preseason. Logic is that No. 3 won't get enough plays to justify using up year of eligibility -- now Eveld has two years post-Daniels.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
