Figure there are 6 USF home games per year. Assume you are at the stadium 4 hours per game. That means, barring travel, you get to see 24 total hours of USF football. Assuming you had 4 tickets, you would spend approximately as follows: 4 season tix - $1200 Parking pass - $150 Food/Beer Tailgating - 6 x $50 = 300 Concessions / Beer - 6 x 4 x $20 = $480 USF Logo Ger - 4 x $25 = $100 (annually) USF AA Donation - $250 Approximately $2500 annual spend for an average 4 season tix holder. Assuming 24 total viewing hours, you are paying $100 an hour on USF football. I know it is entertainment, but I wonder how many feel they are getting their money's worth this year. Regardless of my feelings about Holtz and the direction the program is going, you can be sure the product wont get better without adequate funding. Its equally likely that I'd be drinking beer and eating food at my house or elsewhere on those Saturday nights if I werent at the game. So I consider that a nonfactor. Thus, my figure would be considerably less than the $100 an hour. With that said, I still dont think the quality of football I've seen this year is worth what I've paid. Is it worth it? Hell yes. For those who love USF football (hell, football in general), there is nothing like seeing the bodies in front of you, yelling at Skip, etc

I love watching our team for 58 minutes. Take 2 minutes for every loss = 12 minutes. My nightmares sum up in the neighborhood of 12 minutes. That isnt a bad investment. I remember back when USF didn't have football. I'd hit a basketball and baseball game or two and that was it. Football here at the ranch was pro, and college - if Florida State or North Carolina State was televised. I have great seats at the OG rate, and it's an enjoyable outing. I'm not about to suck on the business end of my .45 because of a few down years. I don't think season tickets have a line item entry on the budget...they're buried somewhere in the MISC or ENTERTAINMENT entries. Once season tickets become an expense (should the program turn out to be an outdoor rendition of USF basketball), then we'll have to revisit the expenditure, but for now. Yeah, I'm getting my money's worth.
