I don't agree with Bowden, but do agree with going aggressively at good coordinators. Shannon would be a possibility as its a step up both job wise and money wise (and a chance to get back to Florida and recruit). Coker wouldn't leave a HC job for an OC job though (atleast I doubt it). My personal preference would be Tony Franklin out of LA Tech. Has had huge success everywhere he's gone (Kentucky, Troy, La Tech) except for a half year at Auburn. Has helped take La Tech from 91st ranked in offense just a few years ago, to the number 2 offense in the NCAA right now (including putting up 57 pts on Texas A&M).

the key with a head coaching job change at this point will be the head coaches ability to hit the ground running. (If this is the route USF goes)

Bowden is living off his father's resume and name more than Skip!

Coker lit the match that burned the Miami program to the ground, (he won the NC because Davis left that team LOADED with talent)

Shannon was behind Coker with gasoline screaming "FIRE, FIRE, haha FIRE"

Cristobal can't win in the SunBelt Conference, how's he going to do in the BigEast?

The difference between Terry and Skip is that Terry actually won on the "Big Stage" at Auburn.

But it would be awkward to go from the Holtz family to the Bowden family.

Usually players come to schools because of a coaching staff....so how would firing him save the recruits?

Not endorsing his replacement choices.... but we're losing recruits at a pretty good clip due to our current staff and their record. Recruiting isn't something you just get right back into... the damage Skip has done will take years to dig out of.... it can't start till we get rid of this staff.

Hire Terry Bowden from Akron. Terry is currently being paid $450,000 a year so give him $650,000 and put the left overs that we were paying Skip towards two kick ass coordinators (OC and DC).

Lost me at Bowden and Coker.

Me too. Bubba Bull had great intentions, but must be a Miami fan and lost his way there.

I blame myself. I saw the thread title, I saw who the OP was but I opened it anyways. I shouldn't call this thread the biggest pile of bull manure on this board because I knew what was in here. Stupid, stupid me.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
