OR Fire Holtz and have to wait an extra 5 years.

No guarantee that the new guy would come in and win anyway. An OCS is forever. We could be in the same situation we are in now for the next 5 years in the second scenario. The OC or DC would get a somewhat promised HC job after Holtz's contract expired. I would also elevate their status to where they had some authority shoudl they disagree with Holtz. It will change the identity of our program. Will it happen within the next 20 years, not counting my luck. By then though, I will have some ducketts to contribute back to the program. I could care less where the team plays or who coaches them as long as they win. Edited October 22, 2012 by gibbsak

An OCS will change the entire identity and perception of our University. Oklahoma began playing football in 1895 and built it's OCS in 1923. So would you say that it was Oklahoma Memorial Stadium/Owen Field, Bud Wilkinson, Barry Switzer, or Bob Stoops.that changed the identity and perception of the University of Oklahoma? How about UF of FSU, was it their OCS, or their coaches?
