I haven't been able to do a fact check on this but here's what the word on the street is:

We have given up 12 fourth quarter leads in the last 3 years.

Think about the implications of this:

1. That's TWO season's worth of bowl eligibility

2. That's an extra 4 wins on average over the last 3 seasons. (Conceptually, we'd be at 6-1 this year, 9-3 last year, and 11-1 the year before)

3. We blame Cosh for a lot of our trouble but he's only been here for half a season.

4. This is too significant of a pattern to point to "depth". We are "deeper" than many of these teams. You have to point to clock and game management and the will of the coach to drive the dagger in.

This is absolutely alarming to me and probably the strongest argument I can think of for canning Holtz. This is not an anomaly or a trend; it's a problem. It's a failure. Again, I haven't fact checked this. But we all know fourth quarter blown leads are becoming the norm and I don't need a fact check to know that. Alarming.

This is what a coach that has a passion for winning looks like. (I couldn't care less about the folks up I75. Just happens to be a good example)

They were up 21-6 at this point.

I agree. That stat is simply alarming.

What's more...Face it, when we took the lead against UL Saturday in the late 4th quarter. How many of you KNEW our defense would let them come down the field and score the needed TD?

I am a huge fan and a bulliever, but I must say that even though I was yelling and cheering for my defense, i KNEW what was going to happen. We see it EVERY WEEK.

Get used to it. At this rate, we will lose to Syracuse in the last 3 minutes of the game, too.

This is awesome. I love it! Not a gator fan either, but I just got totally pumped up by watching this 8 seconds of video.

You know, the sad thing is, I watched the UL game expecting my team to lose. I was still holding onto hope that we would pull off the upset and get the win and start turning things around, but a much bigger part of me did not expect us to win.

Then, as we were keeping it close and managed to get the lead late, the hope of an upset just grew and grew and I found myself getting more and more excited about the possible outcome. But then when I saw how much time UL had to drive down the field and get in the endzone, you're right, I just knew our defense would let them score. It's sad that the bigger part of me now expects to lose, rather than hoping to win. :nope:

Defense. When the game is on the line we have none. I think it's a Holtz issue.

Why did we play in a "prevent" defense with a 4 point lead and 3 minutes to go aganist a red hot quaterback?

When we got the ball back L'Ville blitzed every down aganist us.

The difference is that L'ville played to win and we played to lose......

Holtz MUST go.......

Cosh is just doing what Holtz tells him to do........
