Unfortunately Holtz has tarnished what had been perceived as a plum job with high growth potential and made it tougher to find a good replacement.

I don't think so... this team looks really bad that falls onto coaching.

USF still looks like a good program to coach....located in florida, nice facilities, raymond james.... one coach isn't going to destory USF football.

Unless we can't get rid of him and he stays around for 5 more years. Then , he will have more than enought time to destroy USF football.

I don't see him staying for 5 years our AD isn't that stupid but then again I do wonder....

The conference realignment has done a lot more damage than Skip, or any coach, could ever do ...

this. I would be much less concerned with what is going on right now if we werent in this limbo of conference realignment.

Rich Bisaccia (San Diego Chargers - special teams coordinator) - Don't be surprised if Bisaccia is in the mix for the position. Many NFL coaches and players believe he is the top special teams coordinator in the NFL. He is highly respected within the league and people like Chris Mortensen and Jon Gruden will tell you that it's only a matter of time before Bisaccia becomes a head coach in the NFL. Bisaccia served on David Cutcliffe's initial staff at Ole Miss from 1999-2001 before winning a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Bucs as the special teams coordinator. He has experience recruiting Mississippi and would know how to get to places like Okolona and Kosciusko. He is a no nonsense coach that makes football enjoyable for the players. As a special teams coordinator, he has tons of experience speaking to an entire team. Google "Rich Bisaccia" and the first listing is a USA Today article titled, "There's Something Special About Rich Bisaccia."

Mike Stoops

Brett Venables

I like the Kirby Smart guy too.

I think Brent would be a good fit. Former Kansas State player and coach. A little overlap of Jim Leavitt while he was at KSU. Knows how to win being at KSU (under Snyder) and Oklahoma. Probably not going to get him would be looking for a bigger job.

Mack Brown might be looking for work in a few hours.

I kid.

But seriously, he might be.
