Just out of curiosity how much money did we make last night from the sell out at RayJay which is owned by the TSA and to a lesser degree the Buc's.... just trying to figure out if we would had made more money from having our own 45K seat OCS vs. renting out the Buc's stadium.

Figured that this thread might be a good distraction to kill time until we play Temple, and informative for future OCS debates

We only paid $150,000 for rent. Somebody check my math, but we probably grossed 1.4 to 1.7 million in gate receipts. We also get part of the parking, but I'm not sure how much.

From what I understand we only get a percentage of the pre sold parking passes.... we don't get anything from day of game parking.

That being said, if we had a 45-50k OCS do you think they would move a game like this to RJS much like Cinci does once or twice a season?

Its possible that a game like this would had been moved, but given that if we had a OCS then USF could bring in a TON of $$ from parking, concessions, and from the restaurants on campus I doubt it. The Marshall Center Beef's would had been over flowing with people... and the bookstore would had been likely selling stuff hand over fist.

Does this factor in donations from the donation level season tickets?

No, I was just looking at gross ticket sales. Also, my calculations don't take into account the private boxes. You could bump that gross up over 2 million including those private boxes.

Anyone care to venture a guess at the average donation per season ticket holder or corporate sponsor broken down into a per game amount?

It was $125, Doug Woolard told me that a couple of years ago at an alumni tailgate, if memory serves me right. Greg Auman mentioned it in his chat last Thursday as having gone up to $150.

I do believe the TSA gets a small portion of the gate receits, too, though. Like 1 or 2 percent.

No way FSU plays us in a 45-50,000 seat stadium on campus. Games like this would definitely be moved to RJ or they wouldn't sign the contract.
