True they were battling all night but no one stepped up to make a big play when needed.the o line was as if the just got some of them off the corner of dale mabry befote the game.how many times are lineman going to block linebackers while ignoring the player right in front of them.eatch the game again and see how many rutgers down lineman make tackles while the offensive guys are 10 yards downfield. Plays are over before they have a chance to develop.not throwing to a tightend in the middle allows the lbs to play right on the line on every down. Does anyone know when a tivht end has caught more than1pass in a game.THEY NEVER USE THEM AND THAT IS POOR PLAYCALLING.DONT EVEN START WITH THE HOLTZ TALK. THIS GUY IS IN WAY OVER HIS HEAD LIVING ON HIS LAST NAME.he would have been better off named joe smith. Then noone would be expecting so much from him Noticed the same thing in my abbreviated re-watching of the game.

Then noone would be expecting so much from him in all fairness, Joe Smith won the Naismith and AP POY in 1995 and was the #1 overall pick in the NBA draft that year. he had high expectations, but like our coach turned out to be pretty mediocre. At 931 in the second we went for it. Fine. (Even though I would have let Bonani kick the 44 yard field goal) But our Olinemen got ZERO Push. The Rutgers DT was 2 yards in our backfield. Piss poor. (Play call was also putrid)

I don't think we've lost to a non-BCS opponent since we became one (joining the Big East). Which just emphasizes a little more how mediocre we've been against BCS opponents... (Skip's record in parathesis) Big East: 21-29 (4-11) ACC: 6-4 (2-1) SEC: 1-1 (0-1) Notre Dame: 1-0 (1-0) Big 12: 1-1 Pac 12: 0-1 Big Ten: 0-1 (Not sure if Penn State loss actually counts anymore) Non-BCS FBS: 16-0 (5-0) FCS: 9-0 (3-0)

Bad hire, and it took Doug Wollard 4 years to realize it.

Can he be both? Matching Kragthorpe is pretty tough to do. I don't think it will be that bad. Lets hope we rebound.
