We have it, and it's probably the biggest reason why we won, because we had more of it than Nevada.

It's probably why we went deep so often in this game. In most cases, it seemed like we had their DBs beaten but the throws weren't on target.

Certainly glad they were to Dunk and Freakshow at the end of the game though.

I certainly enjoyed watching Lindsey run tonight too ... he impressed me, and at the same time wish we had known how to use him more earlier. He's one of my favorite Bulls.

Great game Bulls. Love the heart you displayed in the final minutes, not giving up.

I still don't think we were that much faster than they were. I do think that, for once,

our depth really helped late in the game.

Their QB and RB had a lot more speed then some of our guys on Defense which surprised me.

I don't know if it was the Elevation or what...but we were running in quick sand it seemed like today.

As for our WR on the DEEP balls. it wasn't like we out ran their DBs, we just made plays on the ball sometimes...but there were plenty of times where we didn't

I'm just glad we kept going back to it. now that we have some LEGIT SIZE at WR it is nice to play off of BJ's strong arm.

Um, BJ threw a couple right on the money to some that were not caught.

Could have thrown for 450 yards

there was one that BJ threw PERFECTLY and it hit the WR right in the shoulder pad. I will have to re-watch the game before I mention who it was but yea- he could have easily thrown for 450 but some of it was on him. 1st drive of the game he missed Sterling over the middle for atleast 20 yards.

He attempted 40 passes and completed twenty-two. There were definitely a few drops, but more than a few deep ones weren't close. I'm not wanting to harp on that, however. In another thread someone said that it was nice to have a deep, talented group of true WRs, finally. They are also very fast.

My point is that we went deep so much because we knew our receivers could get in position to make plays. Matt, I agree we made some plays on the ball for sure, but we were routinely ahead of the DBs on most deep balls. I don't know the stats for YAC, but they had to be pretty good.

Our team speed is definitely better than theirs. I have to give props to them though, they are well coached and they executed well for 55-56 minutes of the game.

It doesn't appear that BJ will ever be as consistent as we all want him to be, doesn't always make the easiest throws, but hopefully he, and the wr's, can make enough plays to make this year special.

I did like the fact the BJ ran the ball today.

That's got to be part of the gameplan every week ....

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
