Shaw hasn't utilized his redshirt year yet. Maybe they'll redshirt him instead depending on how severe his ankle is.

Guys. No reason to think it's a longterm injury right now. He's missed two days of practice. Not on crutches, not in a boot. Shaw would have to miss most of the season to justify holding him out of end of Big East season. Seems doubtful right now.

I am really hoping this is not a serious or nagging injury. We need to strike this year, while the iron is hot, and I think having Shaw to tote the rock gives us the best chance to do so. Please, please, no redshirt.

Asked Skip today. Hard to know for sure with an ankle sprain, but he's still in play for Nevada, then would just be a question of whether he can play for Rutgers. Hard to look beyond that right now.

Seems strange to pull a redshirt for a non-confernce game injury to the second string RB when others are available. Surely the coaching staff didn't expect the top two RBs to go completely injury free this year.
