It's interesting that the Cincy(read FB School) president was tasked with finding Tater Head's replacement. Guess this means Cincy ain't jumping to B12. It also made it clear that the BB schools weren't in control of the process or they would have gotten a BB only guy in there to do the hiring. The thing that is amzing to me, is we have been negotiating TV rights deals and are about to begin again and no one knows the revenue splits. This is "Married with Children" dysfunctional. It makes the B12 and UT look like a blessed relationship. We really need to get out of this conference. Maybe the Conference Fairy will leave an invite under our pillow when Clemson and FSU bolt the ACC.

The FSU/Clemson rumor proved to be just that. A fan from a B12 school (WVU) started it on a message board

You see what the B12 is doing. They are stacking these natural rivalries against the SEC to make themselves more viable. they now have:

Kansas vs Mizzou

Texas vs TAMU and

UL vs UK would be pretty enticing

Jurich was best friends with Marinatto. Louisville is most definitely out the door now.

I know the latest round came from there and claimed they were B12 bound, but the overall premise of their leaving is hard to argue. It's not West they are headed though.
  • SEC needs eastern division teams to balance the conference,

  • The whole FL and USc would keep them out, is a strawman argument by fans and media.The fact is both Sets of teams already recruit against each other 24/7. We tend to buy the argument because we didn't want O'Leary's Liars anywhere near our recruiting pool. They were not on the same playing field with recruits. Neither FSU nor Clemson suffer that disadvantage. They are both legacy schools that are typically in the top 10 in the country in recruiting.

  • The Hokies can't move because of their little sister UVA. The SEC wouldn't take UM on a bet. Nobody else makes geographic sense for the first "Superconference" . Imagine the revenues generated by a 4-team SEC conference Championship. Wonder why no one is interested in more than 4 teams for the NC?
