I have a feeling that the Sheriff was "loaded" when he sent that out.

No way we're going to play UF in that bowl, even if we go.

The SEC will get 2 BCS teams and not have enough teams left to fill that bowl game.

Where do you think UF will go? They will get bowl-eligible Saturday vs. Furman.

If the SEC gets 2 BCS teams (it would be a total meltdown if they don't at this point), then I see UF going to the Gator Bowl.

You think a 6-6 Florida team will go to the Gator Bowl (I'm assuming they beat Furman and lose to FSU)? Seems like a stretch.

According to ESPN the other teams for the Gator Bowl to pick would be 6-6 too (Miss State, Tenn, Vandy). There won't be a team for SEC in Birmingham.

Well if that's the case, yeah, they would go for UF, might as well bring all the Gator fans back to Jax for maximum attendance revenue.

I'm not sure why you would think it is that much of a stretch. The SEC is going to have 9 bowl eligible teams. Take away 2 of those team to the BCS and you're left with the following SEC Bowl tie ins (I believe in order):

Capital One

Outback/Cotton

Chik-Fil-A

Gator

Music City

Liberty/BBVA

Capital One will likely choose from Arkansas, Georgia, and potentially Alabama

Outback could land Georgia or South Carolina

Cotton could take Arkansas if Capital One doesn't and South Carolina could still be out there

Chik-Fil-A would probably be looking to Auburn

Music City should have the chance to get Vanderbilt if they win one more game

Liberty could have Mississippi State if they win one more game (Big East could factor into this game and Louisville could be an option, but Mississippi State would be a better draw for the Bowl)

So UF would be left to either the Gator or BBVA Bowl games. I can't see any scenario where UF gets passed over by the Gator Bowl.

Picking us to beat FSU next year is a very bold prediction; I hope you are right. FSU is one of the favorites to win the National Championship next year with a 10 to 1 odds. From what I have seen only Oklahoma and Alabama have better odds of winning the NC next year.

I didn't realize there were so many other teams that could be 6-6 by years end. Joe was good enough to point that out to me.

15 million reasons why a BCS game would be better then a bowl in Birmingham. Cash Money.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
