Exactly. We are in uncharted territory for the bulls. We hae had only two losing seasons, one when we were still building and creating a program, one when we were jumping to 1A and developing in conference.

We are in a BCS AQ conference, and we are in Florida, the hotbed for recruiting. There is no reason we are as weak as we are right now.

Isn't it odd that we can lead the nation in tfl, hold an opponent to MINUS ydg for an entire game, AND get ZERO pressure in the passing game?

we had 5 sacks. we are #2 in the country with 3.5 sacks per game. it's when we go into prevent that things unravel.

ding ding ding, we have a winner...

Skip keeps talking up the Big East but in reality we could have steamrolled UCONN and Rutgers easily with a winner mentality.

In the eyes of the college football landscape, USF is no more significant than Toledo.

I in no way am happy about this game. But the first 5 passes of that last drive all seemed to be 3 step drops and throw the out pattern. Not a whole lot of time to pressure the QB. Maybe a bit of pressure on the receivers would have been the answer.
Very good observation. The single coverage deep on 2nd and 25 TD play was a disaster as well.

Do you want more pressure, or more people in deep coverage? Can't have both. :)

On the brighter side, Skip was able to invent a new word. How many fans can say their coaches have done that this year?

Unfortunately you are correct.

I don't think I'm going to cool off the rest of this season unless we beat Miami...
