I think college football attendance is more of loyalty than entertainment.

We are still building a loyal fan base.

Exactly ... but casual fans like Bull94 are correct. To get his type fans into the stadium for every game NOW, you have to have ooc "names" come in but that's not our philosophy or really doable for what we're trying to accomplish. I think the schedule this year was perfect 1 "name", 1 1AA, 2 non AQ ...

Crowd did not look good on TV, ESPN3.

It didn't look good in person either.  AND there was no energy in the crowd.  I could tell by the sleepy vibe in pregame that it was going to be a long night.

We better show up for the Bearcats.  /Rant off.

a smaller (50K) OCS would fix much of these problems; there is simply too much supply for the demand.

Take attendance with a grain of salt. This was obviously a below average week. Third home game in a row means some people were burnt out on drinking, knew we would win, etc. Not making excuses cause I sure as hell wouldn't miss it, but I realize we live on planet earth where things don't always play out perfectly. Give us time we will get there.

But if you were expecting to see bandwagon fans, now would be the time.

Not for the 3rd straight Saturday home game against a team no one knows.

The bottom line is the casual fan doesn't care about UTEP. It's these fans that we have to win over. Unfortunately, the economy is the driving force as to why more people aren't attending games. I read that the unemployment in this area is 11% and that is a big factor going against us.

Cincy will tell me something.  I can see the drain of 3 cupcakes in a row on people, and this one didn't even have an epic band.  Cincy is a conference game though!  Maybe after a couple weeks people will be recharged to yell again.

50K with green seats would look a lot nicer
