Rick Pitino just came out on ESPN and said that UL leaving the BE would be "The Stupidest idea ever!"

lets hope they listen...

Too much money involved to listen.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, this is where Marinatto needs to grow a pair and go after KU/KSU/ISU. If Missouri does leave for the SEC, then the 3 aforementioned programs have to see that their situation can hardly get better. The tiered tv revenue sharing in the Big 12 is still not going to be equal and Texas is going to keep their Longhorn Network. Oklahoma will probably get their own network as well.

By coming to the Big East, KU/KSU/ISU wouldn't have to worry about tiered level of tv revenue sharing and the money would be split equally amongst conference members.

I'm sure Boeheim said the same thing .... IF he knew about it ahead of time.

"There is no unanimity at all. There isn't even a plurality among the athletic directors as to what they would like to do," Neinas said.

Welcome to the Big 12, Mr Neinas.

Problem is that exact quote would sound just as plausible coming from Marinatto ...

very true on both accounts. Which why Marinatto needs to be on the phone with KU/KSU/ISU the day missouri leaves (if they leave).

Right, like Marinatto would give an answer with "plurality" in it.

What does Cincy bring to the table besides being two hours from Louisville?

If the Missouri Tigers decide to leave the Big 12, the conference could look to the east for expansion targets, according to Chuck Carlton of the Dallas Morning News. Should the Big 12 move back to 12 teams, Carlton reports that the four candidates are the TCU Horned Frogs, the Cincinnati Bearcats, the Louisville Cardinals and the West Virginia Mountaineers.

LOL at adding Cincinnati over a Florida team.

Well, it's a Cincy source, hopefully they're just being optimistic. Maybe they heard "USF or Cincy" and are running with Cincinnati? One can hope...

They also "broke" the news about WVU being "rejected" by ACC/SEC.

Good basketball, Ohio although not as good as Florida is still a very good high school football state.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
